Development Team

Philip Tague, Chairman of AMLI Development Company (ADC)

Mr. Tague is Chairman of ADC and started with AMLI in 1981. He oversees AMLI's development and construction activities. Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Tague worked for the Chicago law firm of Mayer Brown. He received a B.S. from Northwestern in 1971 and a J.D. from Ohio State in 1977. He is a past president and/or chairman of the Atlanta Apartment Association, the Georgia Apartment Association, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Mr. Tague is an officer or member of the ULI, NAIOP, REIAC, IDRC, and the NMHC. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Mark Evans, President of ADC

Mr. Evans is President of ADC. He is responsible for managing all construction activities and shares responsibility for project planning with the various development teams. He holds a General Contractor license for Georgia, Florida, Denver, and Broomfield, Colorado. Mr. Evans received a B.S. from the University of Florida in 1982. He was previously associated with Peachtree Residential Properties (1992-94), Roberts Properties (1990-92), Grove Construction (1986-90), and AMLI Realty Co. (1983-86), serving in various construction roles.

Taylor Bowen, Executive Vice President - Development

Mr. Bowen is Executive Vice President - Development of AMLI and ADC. He joined AMLI in 1997 and is responsible for AMLI's development activities in Texas. Previously, Mr. Bowen worked for Huitt-Zollars Engineers and Architects. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1993 where he served on the SMU Board of Trustees. Mr. Bowen received an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia in 1997. He serves on the Dallas Citiplace TIF Board, the Downtown Austin Alliance Executive Board, and formerly the Dallas Zoning and Ordinance Committee. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Stephen Ross, Executive Vice President - Development

Mr. Ross is Executive Vice President - Development of AMLI and ADC. He joined AMLI in 1989 and is responsible for development activities in Chicago and other regions, including the origination, structuring and closing of investments. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Ross led AMLI's financing activities. Before joining AMLI, he was associated with JMB Realty Corporation. He received a B.S. from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Mr. Ross is a member of the ULI and serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Glencoe, the Board of the Illinois Medical District Guest House Foundation, and the Near South Planning Board.

Jason Armison, Senior Vice President - Development

Mr. Armison is Senior Vice President - Development and joined AMLI in 2007. Based in Orange County, he is responsible for development activities throughout Southern California. Before joining AMLI, Mr. Armison was Vice President of Development/Operations for Barratt American where he managed all aspects of acquisitions and development. He received his Bachelor's degree from Sonoma State University in Economics and Environmental Studies and Planning. He received his Master's degree in Real Estate Development and Planning from the University of Southern California. Mr. Armison is a full member of the ULI and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Ken Hitchcock, Senior Vice President - Construction

Mr. Hitchcock is Senior Vice President - Construction and is responsible for all construction activities in Texas and Colorado. Prior to joining AMLI, he was Managing Director for Optimal Holdings Group and President of Senderro Construction Services. Mr. Hitchcock received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a member of the Chancellors Council of The University of Texas, Texas Association of Builders, Association of General Contractors, and the Multifamily Builders Council.

Scott Koppelman, Senior Vice President - Development

Mr. Koppelman is Senior Vice President - Development and started with AMLI in 1999. Based in Seattle, he is responsible for development activities in Seattle and Denver. Before moving to Seattle, he participated in AMLI's development activities in various Midwest markets. Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Koppelman was a city planner for Overland Park, KS, facilitating and regulating all aspects of new development. He received a B.S. in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University. He is a member of the ULI and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Fred Schreiber, Senior Vice President - Development

Mr. Schreiber is Senior Vice President - Development and has been with AMLI since 2007. Mr. Schreiber is currently responsible for development activities in Southeast Florida and Atlanta. Prior to joining AMLI, he was associated with the New York law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP (2004-2007). He received a B.A. from Emory University in 2001 and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004. Mr. Schreiber is a member of the ULI and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Jennifer Wolf, Senior Vice President - Development

Ms. Wolf is Senior Vice President – Development. She joined AMLI in 1990 and has held several different positions involving financing, feasibility, and analysis. Ms. Wolf is responsible for AMLI's development activities in Chicago. She received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1989 and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Gia Brodt, Vice President - Development

Ms. Brodt is Vice President - Development and has participated in AMLI's development activities in Dallas/Ft. Worth since 2006. She is currently responsible for managing AMLI's new developments in DFW from land acquisition to project stabilization. Prior to joining AMLI, Ms. Brodt was a Project Engineer for a contractor in Indianapolis. She received her B.S. in Management from Purdue University in 2004. Ms. Brodt serves on the Commercial Review Subcommittee for the Las Colinas Association’s Architectural Control Committee.

Tim Gianndrea, Vice President - Construction

Mr. Gianndrea is Vice President - Construction and has been with AMLI since 2006. He is responsible for projects in the Atlanta area. Before joining AMLI, Mr. Gianndrea was a project manager for Lane Realty Construction. Prior to Lane, he worked as a project manager for Pinkerton & Laws, Inc., Centex Homes, and Morrison Homes. Mr. Gianndrea has a B.S. in Construction Technologies from the University of North Florida in 1991.

Collette Jones, Vice President - Development

Ms. Jones is Vice President - Development and started with AMLI in 1999. She has participated in all AMLI's development activities in Atlanta since 1999 and is currently managing AMLI's new development projects in Atlanta. Prior to joining AMLI, Ms. Jones was a technical adviser for Jostens Publishing. She received a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Ms. Jones is a member of the ULI and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Andy Mutz, Vice President - Development

Mr. Mutz is Vice President - Development and is responsible for Denver development activities. Before moving to Denver for AMLI, Mr. Mutz participated in AMLI's development activities in Chicago. Prior to joining AMLI in 2010, he was a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. Mr. Mutz received a B.A. in History and Economics from Emory University in 2004 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2008. He is a registered attorney in Illinois and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Kevin Neal, Vice President - Development

Mr. Neal is Vice President - Development and has been associated with AMLI since 2011. He is responsible for development activities in South Florida. Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Neal was an Architect at NBBJ Design in Seattle. He received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Marcy Phillips, Vice President - Development

Ms. Phillips is Vice President - Development and started with AMLI in 2001. She is responsible for development activities in Austin and previously participated in AMLI development activities in Chicago, Kansas City and Dallas. Prior to joining AMLI, Ms. Phillips worked for Urban Development Partners in Chicago. She received a B.B.A from the University of Wisconsin in 2001 in Real Estate and Finance. She is a co-chair of CREW; a member of the Austin East Riverside Corridor Regulating Plan Working Group, Downtown Austin Alliance, and RECA; and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Matt Elley, Senior Development Associate

Mr. Elley is a Senior Development Associate. Based in Seattle, he participates in AMLI's Seattle development projects. Before joining AMLI in 2012, he worked for Alliance Residential and SRM Development in Seattle and spent four years developing condominiums in San Diego with DR Horton's Urban Development Division. Mr. Elley received a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Washington and a Master's in Real Estate Development & Finance from Harvard. He is a ULI member and a LEED Accredited Professional.

John Harris, Senior Project Manager - Construction

Mr. Harris is Senior Project Manager for Construction in Florida and is responsible for budgeting, contracting for, and managing all new construction projects for AMLI in Florida. Before joining AMLI in 2013, he performed project manager/executive responsibilities in Florida for Kast Construction/Kolter Urban, Panattoni, Opus South, DH Griffin, and JPI Apartment Construction. Mr. Harris received a B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University in 1995.

Justin James, Senior Estimator - Construction

Mr. James is Senior Estimator - Construction and is responsible for overseeing and managing the estimating, budgeting, bid solicitation, and contracting for AMLI construction projects. Prior to joining AMLI in 2011, he was a Project Manager with Samples Construction. Mr. James has a B.A. in Finance from Kennesaw State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design & Construction.

Ryan Garrett, Project Manager - Construction

Mr. Garrett is a Project Manager - Construction and is responsible for budgeting, contracting for, and managing new construction projects in the Atlanta area. He started with AMLI in 2008 after graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University with a B.S. in Construction Management. Mr. Garrett is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Home Energy Rater.

David Todd, Project Manager - Construction

Mr. Todd is a Project Manager – Construction and is responsible for new project construction for AMLI in Texas. He oversees and manages the construction process on new Texas projects, including planning, budgeting, contracting, execution, and delivery. Prior to joining AMLI in 2006, Mr. Todd worked as a project superintendent for a national builder and received recognition for completing many successful projects.

Erin Hatcher, Sustainability Coordinator - Development

Ms. Hatcher is Sustainability Coordinator - Development. Prior to joining AMLI in 2012, Ms. Hatcher worked as a Sustainability Consultant in Chicago focusing on LEED for New Construction projects. She received her BFA in Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago in 2007. Ms. Hatcher is a LEED Accredited Professional and has obtained her certification as a Construction Documents Technologist.

Craig Brockman, Retail Development Manager

Mr. Brockman is Retail Development Manager for AMLI. Since joining AMLI in 1999, he has participated in AMLI's various award-winning, mixed-use developments over a five block area in downtown Austin. Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Brockman was a construction manager for Heritage Construction based in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He received a B.S. from the University of Texas where he was Captain of the swim team, a 10 time All-American, 1996 National Champion, and recipient of the Earl Campbell Scholarship for Leadership.
