Event: Operation K.I.S.S. - Kids In Need of School Supplies
Date: July 12 - August 8, 2010
Where: All AMLI Austin Communities
Description: Please help us collect school supplies for kids in need. Drop boxes are lcoated at all of our Austin communities. The Austin Apartment Association conducts Operation K.I.S.S. - an annual project to collect school supplies for underprivelidged kids in the Austin area. 100% of all proceeds are donated to Project HELP and used to purchase school supplies for local school children. Project HELP (Homeless Education and Learning Program) assists students in temporary living situations due to crisis and/or economic hardship, to enroll, participate and succeed in school by providing basic needs and academic services as well as linking students and their families to Key AISD and local community support services.

Event: Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure
Date: November 7, 2010
Where:
Description: Residents and employees are invited to donate time and money in the form of sponsorships for walking in the Race for the Cure. Walk, run or be on the sidelines cheering on the AMLI FAMLI - we hope you will donate and join our team!

Past FAMLI Events:

Event: Eyes of Hope
Date: October 1 - December 31, 2009
Description: Residents and employees donated used glasses (prescription glasses, readers or sunglasses) to help those in need. This program helps serve more than one billion people globally who cannot afford or do not have access to eyewear. Donated glasses will be refurbished, cleaned, and labeled to benefit those in need.
