Description:

Residents and employees are invited to donate used glasses (prescription glasses, readers or sunglasses) to help those in need. This program helps serve more than one billion people globally who cannot afford or do not have access to eyewear. Donated glasses will be refurbished, cleaned, and labeled to benefit those in need.

AMLI FAMLI team members volunteered at the Children’s Hospital and helped take the kids’ minds off any illnesses and focused on colorful crafts instead! The kids colored pictures and decorated their own picture frames and memory boxes with glitter, ribbon, stickers, and more! Whether it was artistic ability or communicating with Spanish speaking children, each AMLI volunteer had something unique to offer.

Each Denver area property adopted a family in its neighborhood to provide holiday meals and gifts. Each AMLI community also collected coats from residents to donate to the Coats for Colorado organization.

The Dandelion Project is an organization which helps foster and troubled children through garden therapy. AMLI sponsored an Open House for children in foster care who have been working on a garden throughout the summer. Refreshments, games and special awards for the children were provided.
