I have worked for AMLI Development for 8 years. I started my career in Chicago and now oversee Austin development. I traveled for a few years assisting developments in other cities including Dallas and Kansas City. Over the past 8 years, I have been involved (read more) in all aspects of a development lifecycle – sourcing land, entitlements, design coordination, financing, construction and lease-up oversight, property stabilization and property sale. AMLI has provided me the tools, resources and people to grow from Development Associate to Vice President. I thoroughly enjoy working for such a professional, well-managed, entrepreneurial company.

I started my career in property management in the Kansas City market about 18 years ago. When AMLI entered the Kansas City apartment market about 10 years ago, I remember hearing great things about the leadership, company culture and almost feeling jealous (read more) that I wasn’t a part of it. When I heard about a Community Manager opportunity very close to my home in 2005, I called in every favor in the industry. I had to try and get an interview and my resume in front of Traci Hall. Every day I am still amazed with the support and resources available for AMLI employees from IT to Human Resources. I am especially impressed with the FAMLI Volunteer contributions that AMLI employees make to our community. From on-site food collections and school supplies to volunteering at local soup kitchens and the Habitat for Humanity, we really make a difference here in Kansas City in so many ways. My tenure with AMLI has been nearly 10 years. I began as a Development Associate and have since been promoted to a Vice President position. Day in and day out I always read about how good our employees do with the Million Dollar Club and Service Tech programs and countless other goals that we have achieved throughout AMLI's history. I love the fact that I don't do the same repetitive thing every day. It’s exciting for me to know that I can come to work and have different tasks and goals for that day to the next.
