As the old saying always goes, it’s always five o’clock somewhere. And while Texas is known for great food and mouth-watering barbecue, it’s also widely known for its beer. Every great story begins at a bar, where best friends can be born within minutes over a glass of ice cold beer or a tasty cocktail. Below, we’ve curated a list of some of the best pubs in the Dallas area for you to kick back, relax and enjoy an evening with friends and family.
Bryan Street Tavern
4315 Bryan St.
Open from 11am until bar close each and every day, Bryan Street Tavern is a dive that always draws a crowd. And after stepping in, it’s easy to see why. With a dark ambiance and exuberant atmosphere, Bryan Street Tavern includes booths, bar stools and couches for its guests, where you can watch the latest game on their TV. A rotating list of draft beers is made available to guests, where you’ll also have your pick of delicious-fired, thin-crust pizza once you start to get hungry. For your entertainment, Bryan’s also brings in live musical guests to get the party started and keep it lasting all night long. If you’re interested in celebrating your birthday or special occasion, reserve the tavern.

The Dubliner Irish Pub
2818 Greenville Ave.
Known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, The Dubliner Irish Pub offers a wide variety of imported and craft beer, as well as Irish and Scottish whiskeys for you to throw back and enjoy with friends. Owned and operated by Peter Kenny, Kenny has worked hard to create one of the more popular watering holes in the Dallas area. Food options include appetizers such as their cheese board or meatballs, before stepping it up a notch and diving into their pizza and sandwich options. Enjoy your drinks either indoors by the fireplace or outside on the patio while sipping on a Guinness or two—and be sure to bring a DD.

BrainDead Brewing Company
2625 Main St.
For those looking to loosen up after a long day’s work or Sunday Funday until you can’t anymore, BrainDead Brewing Company is the place to be. A wide variety of comfort food such as their Coma Burger or Thick and Morty sandwich will keep you full, while the hefty menu of beer options will keep your thirst at bay. Although it would be impossible to list of all of their beers in just one breath, a few options of beers made by BrainDead include Gritz, their honey lager, and their Happiness Comes From Within, a tropical beer with a taste of orange juice. Combine that with intricate industrial decor and this place is everything a brewing company should be and more. Kick your feet up with your friends, bring your significant other for date night or grab a few cold ones with co-workers. Either way, this is a place you’re sure to appreciate.
