On November 6, Yoga on the Fly opened in DIA’s Concourse 6. The country’s first private airport yoga operation, Yoga on the Fly consists of five individual yoga studios. Practitioners choose from an array of sequences ranging in duration from 8 to 20 minutes. An iPad (for video instruction), wireless headphones, and clean yoga mat are provided with studio rental.
In honor of this DIA milestone, we decided to examine the Mile High City’s most popular and respected yoga studios. If you’re a yogi doing more in Denver than changing planes, put these yoga studios on your radar.
Asana Studio
Located in Olde Towne Arvada, Asana Studio offers a range of yoga classes, yoga therapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture. The studio also runs the Connect 200-hour yoga teacher training program. Kindness Yoga
Kindness’ seven Denver area studios offer a range of classes for all yoga levels and styles, as well as teacher trainings. The center is respected for its ayurvedic-inspired wellness therapies, including craniosacral biodynamics and chakra balancing. The River Power Vinyasa
If power vinyasa is your yogic jam, check out The River’s Delaware street studio. Just over a mile’s walk from AMLI Park Avenue, The River offers more than 50 weekly yoga and meditation classes. The studio offers childcare and children’s yoga, and is known for its massive summertime Yoga on the Rocks sessions. The River’s 200-, 300-, and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs are some of the most reputable in town.
Samadhi Center for Yoga and Meditation
Denver’s Samadhi Center offers a range of classes at its three yoga studios. The family-owned operation is committed to making yoga accessible to students with mobility restrictions and traumatic bran injuries. A proponent of yogic philosophy, Samadhi hosts frequent workshops and special events designed to help students incorporate yoga into all aspects of life.
