Five New Luxury Boutiques in the River Oaks District

by
Jan 20th, 2016

Home to The Galleria and dozens of trendy boutiques, River Oaks has long been a favorite shopping place for fashion minded Houstonians. And with the arrival of the new River Oaks District shopping center, the neighborhood’s reputation as a mecca of style has has risen even higher. Here, we’ll highlight five high-end retailers who are generating quite the buzz with their long awaited brick-and-mortar presence in the area.

Bonobos

Bonobos has quickly become a favorite among men for their easy and hassle-free shopping philosophy. The retailer prides itself on carrying better-fitting clothing (especially pants) and offering personalized shopping assistance. The River Oaks District Bonobos location is Houston’s first, and carries bottoms, tops, accessories, shoes, golf apparel, and tailored suits for black-tie occasions.

Brioni

Brioni is an exclusive, Italian mens clothing line that made its foray into Houston last year with the opening of the River Oaks District location. Splurge here for some fine made-to-measure formalwear and comfortable, trendy sportswear.

Etro

Etro is another Italian fashion house that made its Houston debut with the River Oaks District location last year. Catering to both women and men, Etro sells everything from formalwear to swimwear, and is a great place to shop for seasonal fashion. You can check out their complete spring and summer 2016 collections online.

Moncler

People are thrilled about this French-Italian brand’s debut at the River Oaks District. Even if there’s not much of an opportunity to wear Moncler’s trademark down coats in Houston, the shop will be stocked with plenty of active and sportswear that can be regularly worn in town. (Or you could just buy the coat and book that weekend ski getaway you’ve been putting off for too long.)

Tom Ford

Texas born fashion designer Tom Ford returned to his roots with the opening of his first Houston location last year. Specializing in modern and slightly retro clothing, handbags, shoes and eyewear, this store is the epitome of a luxury one-stop-shop. Known by many as Gucci’s saving grace, Tom Ford has a devoted and loyal following, so his arrival was undoubtedly the answer to many prayers.

There’s hardly been a more exciting time to be living at AMLI River Oaks apartments with its proximity to the River Oaks District. And now you don’t have an excuse for not making retail therapy a regular part of your wellness plan.
