Four of Miami's Best Rooftop Bars

by
Mar 30th, 2016

Widely considered one of the most beautiful cities in the United States, Miami is a place where most residents wish to spend as much time outside as possible. To appreciate the breadth of the Magic City’s beauty and the skyline in all its splendor, it’s worth visiting one of the city’s many fantastic rooftop bars, clubs or restaurants. Here are a few that are especially well-liked.

Area 31

Boasting spectacular views of Biscayne Bay, Brickell Key, and downtown Miami, Area 31 is a great place for a cocktail or a meal. Executive Chef Wolfgang Birk blends local ingredients with spices and culinary influences from around the world to the delight of just about everyone who dines here. On weekends, brunch is served from 11:30AM-3PM.

Fifty Ultra Lounge

Known for having the best views of Brickell Key, Fifty Ultra Lounge’s vertical reach of 50 stories gives it some serious room to impress. On Friday and Saturday evenings, Fifty is a glimmering cocktail lounge. Late nights, it transforms into something a bit more club-like, playing host to some of the city’s most beloved DJs. Fifty Ultra Lounge is on the top floor of the Viceroy Miami, just over 20 minutes from AMLI Dadeland apartments.

HIGHBAR Pool + Bar + Sky

A custom-designed, infinity-edge pool is the highlight of HIGHBAR, a 70s-inspired rooftop lounge with bar and Mexican food from Naked Taco. Located near the water in South Beach, HIGHBAR’s Atlantic Ocean views are exceptional. HIGHBAR also offers bird’s-eye views of South Beach’s bustling streets and art deco architecture.

Juvia

If there were an award for most impressive parking garage rooftop, South Beach’s Juvia would win. Uniquely placed on top of a designer parking garage, this 10,000 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor restaurant and lounge is all about modern ambience. Iced cocktails, prepared with top-shelf liquor and fresh fruit, and their impressive seafood menu make Juvia the perfect spot for the thirsty and hungry.

Miami’s rooftop bars offer unparalleled ocean views, and excellent food and drink. There’s hardly anything else one needs to Live Life + Love Life to the fullest, except maybe a pool and an awesome DJ. Luckily, there’s no shortage of either of those in Miami either.
