Have a Freakishly Good Time at This Year's AMLI BOO Bash

by
Oct 22nd, 2014

With candy corn in the stores, Hocus Pocus on the TV, and jack-o’-lanterns proudly displayed on doorsteps and in windows, you can tell Halloween is just around the corner. It’s time once again to dress up in your best costume and prepare for a blast at  the AMLI Boo Bash in Austin.

This year, we hope to make the event bigger and better than ever. But we need your help! Two days from now, dress up in your spookiest or most creative costume and head on up to the Skye Deck atop AMLI on 2ND. Here are some activities and event highlights to look forward to.

The AMLI BOO Bash Costume Contest

Always a hit, the AMLI BOO Bash costume contest is interactive not only because attendees can participate but also because they are the judges. Awards are given out in three categories: Best female costume, best male costume, and best couple costume. Creativity is strongly encouraged and rewarded with a variety of prizes.

Silent Auction and Raffle

All AMLI residents and guests who registered for this year’s BOO Bash prior to October 20, 2014 will receive a free raffle ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased at AMLI leasing offices. Raffle prizes include gift cards to local restaurants, Austin Pet Patrol, Easily Amused, and a Tito’s Vodka gift basket.  A silent auction will also be held where you can bid on free car washes and detail services from Service King South 1st, laser hair removal services from Victory Med Spa, beauty product gift baskets, select salon services, and tickets to upcoming shows at The Long Center.

Tasty Snacks, Sweets, and Beverages

No Halloween party would be complete without a bit of indulgence. In preparation for this year’s AMLI BOO Bash, we have been busy lining up delectable delights from some of Austin’s talented culinary artists and mixologists. Appetizers prepared by Crave, Brick Oven Pizza, and Malaga Tapas will be available. Dessert items will showcase the talent  and goodness baked up by Walton’s Fancy & Staple and Crave. To drink, you can look forward to fine Milagro Tequila margaritas from William Grant & Sons, craft beer brewed locally by Guns & Oil, and wine donated by the Austin alcohol-delivery startup BrewDrop. All food and beverages are complimentary.

Live Entertainment

Entertainment will be provided by talented dancers from Austin City Showgirls and Le Studio. Makeup artists and stylists from Mane & Tailored, who have been featured at past events and benefits held by AMLI Residential in downtown Austin, will also be present.

Official After Party

After the party is the after party! If you haven’t checked out the swanky new hot spot on West 6th, POP Austin, you’re  missing out on delicious gourmet sliders and eclectic champagne cocktails! Don’t worry though, we have a special night planned for all those who haven’t had the pleasure of seeing this venue. The newest addition to the West 6th area, POP Austin is hosting the official AMLI BOO Bash after party and donating  champagne for the VIP tables.

All for a Good Cause

AMLI residents are invited to attend BOO Bash at no charge, and welcome to bring guests for 0, but all  proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction go to support the Austin Child Guidance Center. Since 1951, the organization has been dedicated to helping children with mental illness in Austin and their families navigate life. AMLI Austin is proud to be working with this helpful non-profit mental health center!

The BOO Bash will be hosted by AMLI on 2ND, AMLI Downtown, AMLI Eastside, AMLI South Shore and AMLI 300. All residents are encouraged to attend, and guests are welcome! All this fun will be taking place at AMLI on 2ND on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 7 to 9:30PM…will you be present?

Do you plan to attend this year’s AMLI BOO Bash? If you’ve been in the past, what did you like  best!
