The Fun you can Have at Klyde Warren Park

by
Aug 24th, 2015

Klyde Warren Park has been open for business for nearly three years now, and has proven even more popular than imagined.

If you haven’t spent much time at this jewel of the Dallas Parks and Recreation system, here’s a taste of the fun that awaits you and your family at Klyde Warren Park.

Food Trucks and More

The east side of Klyde Warren Park has become the go-to destination for food trucks in Dallas. Every day, from 11 AM to 3 PM, between five and ten trucks set up shop. Options include burgers from The Butcher’s Son, deli sandwiches from Gandolfo’s, Vietnamese rice and noodle bowls from Nammi, grilled cheese sandwiches from Ruthie’s, and gourmet ice cream from Coolhaus.

Relish, the food truck borne out of Klyde Warren Park’s own gastropub, Savor, serves burgers, hot dogs, and specialty fries. For a more extensive menu or brunch and dinner at Klyde Warren Park, make a reservation at Savor.

Live Music on the Green

Another selling point: Music Thursdays, a series of free, outdoor concerts featuring local musicians and DJs. Shows typically kick off at 7 PM. In addition to Music Thursdays, noontime shows and weekend music festivals are held on the park’s spacious green throughout summer and early fall.

Children’s Park and Family-Friendly Activities

Klyde Warren Park is as family-friendly as they come. Many of the park’s features and events, including the concert series, food trucks, and even yoga, are family-friendly. On top of this, a designated children’s park featuring a splash pad can excite even the hardest-t0-impress. Events designed specifically for children, including Imagination Playground, are also hosted at the park. If you’re not familiar with the Imagination Playground program, it makes use of giant playground blocks to encourage collaboration, creativity, and logical thinking.

Dog Days in My Best Friend’s Park

Children aren’t the only demographic lucky enough to have a designated section. My Best Friend’s Park, designed specifically for active pooches and their parental units, has the potential to become your favorite dog park. Fountains generate another source of fun for your pet, and are a great way to cool down on hot summer days. If you share your uptown Dallas apartment with a veritable member of the canine family, get out and play together.

Free Fitness Classes at Klyde Warren Park

At Klyde Warren Park, you can attend boot camp, tai chi, yoga, and zumba fitness classes for free. If you want to get in shape but lack motivation, the energy and environment may provide you with exactly what you’re seeking.

Located at the intersection of downtown and uptown Dallas, Klyde Warren Park is conveniently located to many Dallas apartments. It’s also an easy place to have fun with friends, family, or pets. If you live in an AMLI Quadrangle apartment, Klyde Warren Park is just a 15-minute walk away. Live Life + Love Life by taking advantage of all this exceptional green space has to offer.
