Big D NYE
An inexpensive and reliably fun option for celebrating New Year’s Eve in downtown Dallas is the Big D NYE event in Victory Park, not far from AMLI Quadrangle. This year’s lineup includes Level Ground, The Orbans, The Suffers, and The Polyphonic Spree. Entertainment DJ Ro Parrish will show off his talent on the event’s Victory Stage when the clock strikes midnight.
Now in its eighth year, Big D NYE is the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Central Time Zone. Last year, more than 40,000 people celebrated in Victory Park and some 1.5 million tuned in on television. This year’s event promises to be even bigger. Live music will be performed on multiple stages Food from favorite local restaurants and celebratory drinks can be purchased throughout the event space. An experienced pyrotechnics team will put on the fireworks show of the winter. And special guests will keep everyone entertained.
Attendance is free, and guests of all ages are welcome. The event starts at 7 PM and runs until 12:30AM. If your apartment isn’t within walking distance and you want to keep off the roads, choose from dozens of hotels spanning a range of budgets. Dream OneWorld NYE
If you want a celebration filled with lights and high-decibel sound, Dream OneWorld NYE is calling your name. OneWorld NYE is where Dallas residents come to party their way into the New Year like rockstars.
Just three blocks away from AMLI Quadrangle, the Crescent Night Club and Lounge will be decked out for the occasion. To enter the club, ticket holders must strut their stuff along a red carpet. Once inside, revelers can float between six bars and three dance floors, choosing the beats that appeal to them at any given time. Ten talented DJ’s will keep the atmosphere hopping all night long with their hip hop, electronic, and dance mixes. Other performance artists, including aerial and fire dancers, will take their turn entertaining among the club’s visually stimulating partyscapes.
Anyone lost in the music when midnight nears will be alerted to its arrival by an ear-shattering countdown. Super confetti cannons will herald in 2015, blasting the venue with color. Tickets for the fifth annual OneWorld NYE celebration start at 0, and can be purchased online.
A Fashionable NYE
Want to ring in the New Year, literally, in style? Held at the Fashion Industry Gallery in the downtown Dallas Arts District, A Fashionable NYE 2015 promises one of the most stylish and best dressed crowds in the entire area. Returning to mix some of the hottest dance jams for the event’s twelfth year will be DJ Humble, whose presence last year was a hit.
Tickets start at 0 for females and 00 for males, and cover free premium drinks all night long. Valet parking, a midnight champagne toast, green photo booth, live fashion show, a ball dropping, and other New Year’s Eve festivities are also included.
Emerald City’s Rock the ’15 NYE
With more than three decades’ experience performing all over the world, the Emerald City Band knows how to capture a crowd’s attention. For several years now, the group has put on a New Year’s Eve show for the city it calls home, Dallas. Emerald City Band’s Rock the ’15 NYE, taking place at the Intercontinental Dallas in Addison, Texas is shaping up to be the biggest of these celebrations yet.
To comprehend the abilities of the Emerald City Band, one must look only at its performance history. The group averages more than 300 shows a year and has performed at celebrity weddings, the White House, and the Super Bowl. An endorsement as Dallas’ best band by the Dallas Morning News, according to the group’s website, has made Emerald City especially in-demand in the area.
In addition to captivating performances featuring hits from the last five decades, Rock the ’15 NYE attendees can opt to enjoy a three-course dinner before the party gets started.
