Best Brunch Spots in Atlanta, GA - AMLI Residential

by
Jan 7th, 2019

Brunch is one of the best ways to spend your weekends. There’s no better feeling than lazily rolling out of bed, throwing on some clothes, and heading out the door of your Atlanta luxury apartments with friends to consume an endless amount of pancakes and mimosas. Likewise, it’s a great way to revamp your mind, body and soul to help make your approaching Monday a little less scary. And, while the options for brunch in Atlanta are endless, we’ve narrowed it down to a few that you should be sure to add to your list. So without further ado, here are our recommendations:

Del Frisco’s Grille: 3376 Peachtree Road NE

Located in Buckhead neighborhood and a short 15-minute drive from our midtown Atlanta apartments, Del Frisco’s Grille is a must-see. The options for brunch range vastly; from sweet options such as cinnamon rolls and Belgian waffles, to savory options including braised short-rib hash and crabcake benedict. For those with dietary restrictions, there are a handful of gluten-free options to choose from, including their ‘Greens and Grains Bowl’ and ‘Eggs in Purgatory’ – a dish featuring poached cage-free eggs and roasted tomato pepper sauce served on an avocado flatbread. Sounds pretty delish, right? For those in the mood to spice up their brunch with an alcoholic beverage or two, or three…Del Frisco’s Grille offers options straying from your typical Bloody Mary and Mimosa. Our recommendation? The crack coffee or watermelon frozé (trust us on this one).

Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 3PM.

Buttermilk Kitchen: 4225 Rosewell Road

With locally sourced ingredients and a menu made almost entirely from scratch, there’s no wonder why Buttermilk Kitchen is a local favorite. This hot spot serves breakfast and lunch throughout the week, with brunch options on Saturdays and Sundays. Beware though, they don’t accept reservations, so be sure to show up early to snag your table! At Buttermilk Kitchen, you will find some brunch classics: including omelettes, chicken and waffles, and a variety of freshly squeezed juices and cold brew coffee.

Brunch is served on a first-come, first-serve basis on Saturdays and Sundays from 8AM to 3PM.

Bread and Butterfly: 290 Elizabeth Street

A charming cafe and bistro, Bread and Butterfly envelops a unique European setting for the ultimate brunch experience. Being walk-in only, this place fills up quickly so be sure to get there early! This whimsical brunch spot is within a mile of our Old 4th Ward apartments offers one-of-a-kind dishes including shrimp remoulade, trout rillettes and polenta to meet all of your taste buds’ needs. And they offer some tasty drink options, which include cocktails and wine, that you’re sure to enjoy!

Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10:30AM to 3PM (walk-in only).

Murphy’s: 997 Virginia Avenue

Introducing you to the brunch place that has it all, Murphy’s. Open 7 days a week, this restaurant is particularly busy on the weekends as people wander near and far to try everything they have to offer. With plenty of options to choose from and something for everyone, take your pick from a range of salads, egg specialties and ‘brunch favorites,’ including items such as hazelnut crusted french toast, shrimp + cheddar grits or corned beef hash. After the main course has been finished, be sure to browse through their long list of bakery items, desserts and brunch cocktails. Blueberry mimosa, anyone?

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30AM to 4PM on a first-come, first-serve basis.

FolkArt: 465 North Highland Avenue Northeast

With decadent meal options and a Southern Charm classic, FolkArt offers a variety of simple dishes that are sure to make your mouth water. Located in the Historic Inman Park and about a mile from AMLI’s intown lofts, you’ll automatically feel at home in this cozy diner, where funky meets fresh and you can mindlessly and happily waste a few weekend hours. If sweet options such as banana nut foster or chocolate s’mores waffles don’t speak to you on a spiritual level, perhaps their savory dishes such as the smoked salmon or a lobster roll will. You’ll also have the option to build your own burger or omelette, giving you the freedom and power to create the ultimate brunch dish. Even better? Their cocktail list is almost as long as their brunch menu, allowing you to experience brunch at its finest. If you’re feeling frisky, be sure to give their apple bitters mimosa or their honeysuckle lemonade a go – the perfect concoction to make you feel good, but not so good that waking up for work the next day will be a struggle.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM to 4PM.

Well, there you have it. Some hand-picked brunch options to spice up your weekends. So take a step out of AMLI’s luxury apartments in Atlanta, and get to brunchin’.
