It’s 7 AM. You have to be at work by 8:30. That train ride into the city is going to be long and unproductive if you don’t get your caffeine fix. If you don’t have a go-to coffee shop near your Chicagoland apartment or you are looking to switch things up, here are a few suggestions for your next morning pick-me-up.
Lavazza Espression
Naperville
The Naperville branch of Lavazza Espression is one of the Chicago coffee chain’s most highly rated location. Kickstart your day with the espresso beverage of your choice and a pastry or breakfast sandwich to-go.
Colonial Cafe
St. Charles
It may be known more for its ice cream and diner-style food than its coffee, but Colonial Cafe open bright and early at 5:30 AM serving both house brewed coffee and flavored iced coffees. Pop in for a quick breakfast, and you can drink bottomless coffee for the duration of your visit!
Eloise Chicago
Vernon Hills
Eloise is beloved for its lemon squares, cinnamon buns, and other pastries. It also serves Canoes Coffee, which prides itself on the freshness of its beans.
Dunkin’ Donuts
Woodridge
Alright. This isn’t exactly unique. But Dunkin’ Donuts has a reputation for brewing an excellent cup of coffee (with the most perfect ratio of cream and sugar, I might add) and the donuts aren’t so bad either. If you live in an AMLI at Seven Bridges apartment, you can get 20% off your order at the Route 53/Hobson location as part of the AMLI PERKS program.
The next time you find yourself lost in Chicago’s suburbs in need of a morning jolt or an afternoon pick-me-up, check out one of these coffee spots to kickstart your day. And if you’re in the Evanston area, don’t forget about these five awesome cafes.
