Whether you're a seasoned golfer looking for your next challenge or a beginner wanting to learn the game, the Camarillo area offers an impressive variety of golf courses to choose from!

From historic championship courses to family-friendly municipal options, this region of Southern California provides year-round golfing opportunities with stunning mountain and ocean views all-around. Here are some of our favorites near our Southern California apartments and what you can expect from them!

Golf Courses Around Camarillo

A male golfer in a white hat and shirt stands in a large sand trap, poised to hit the ball. The green grass of the course surrounds the bunker, with a large tree on the left and a few other trees in the distance. The sky is partly cloudy.

Camarillo Springs Golf Course

Right in the foothills of the Conejo Mountains, Camarillo Springs has been serving the local golf community for well over 45 years! This 18-hole public course was designed by Ted Robinson and stretches nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees.

What sets this course apart is its natural setting, where you'll enjoy mountain vistas, serene privacy and might even spot some local wildlife during your round.

Looking to up your game? Great! The course also offers lesson opportunities for those looking to improve their skills, and it maintains a driving range with specific operating hours throughout the week. The pro shop also keeps standard hours, making it convenient for both early birds and afternoon players.

After decades of faithfully serving Ventura County golfers, Camarillo Springs has become a trusted staple for players of all skill levels who appreciate its calming weather and inspiring mountain views.

Sterling Hills Golf Club

Nestled between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, the Sterling Hills Golf Club has been family owned and operated since its opening back in 2018. The course designers, Robert Muir Graves and Damian Pascuzzo, created a layout that works with the natural topography and is surrounded by lush avocado and citrus groves.

What makes Sterling Hills particularly interesting is its commitment to conservation through participation in the "Monarchs In the Rough" program, a milkweed and nectar plant seed grant program that supports butterfly populations. Players also receive food or drink tokens depending on their tee time, which adds a nice touch to the experience.

Overall, the course successfully balances challenging play with environmental stewardship, making it appealing to golfers who appreciate both the game and the scenery.

Las Posas Country Club

For those interested in a more traditional country club experience, Las Posas has been a Camarillo tradition since 1958. This member-focused facility offers unlimited golf and open tee times to its members while maintaining over 65 years of golfing heritage in the community. While it operates as a private club, its long-standing presence has made it an integral part of Camarillo's golf scene.
