Holiday Markets in Atlanta You Don’t Want To Miss

Nov 13th, 2023

The holidays are such a magical and cozy time of year.

Everyone celebrates the winter holiday season a little differently and in ways unique to their own style, but a common thread among many is exchanging gifts with loved ones and friends. Online shopping can be quick and convenient but there is also something fun about browsing in person. Searching for gifts in person can be a sensational experience — seeing the shimmer of lights, the smell of cold crisp air mixed with fresh evergreens and peppermint, and holding carefully constructed treasures while you ponder the perfect gift for that special someone.

Immerse yourself in more than a shopping experience and enjoy a complete holiday extravaganza. From stocking stuffers to that “wow” gift on your list to photos with Santa and sampling local cuisine, you are sure to make memories at one of these holiday markets near home.

Four holiday markets in Atlanta & one a little further away

Atlanta Christkindl Market

November 17th – 19th & everyday November 24th – December 24th

As you wind your way through this Buckhead market you can sip on authentic German Glühwein (mulled wine), hot cocoa or cider for a cozy holiday experience while you shop. With over 50 vendors on site you can spend as little or as much time as you want sampling different cuisine and picking out the right gift. With live music and a rich blend of German festivities and Atlanta spirit this market is an experience to remember. Conveniently located around the corner from the Buckhead and Lenox MARTA stations, it couldn’t be any easier to fit in some holiday magic.

Indie Craft Experience

December 2nd & 3rd only

If you’re looking for more of an indoor, away-from-the-weather experience, look no further than the Indie Craft Experience. This year will be the 18th year of showcasing crafters, artists, makers and vintage vendors. Arrive early to get your very own free tote bag to help store the many unique finds you’re sure to want to take home with you. While you shop the fair you can enjoy a live DJ, delicious food and a variety of beverages (including an in-house bar!) all while supporting local vendors. In addition to checking off names from your holiday shopping list, don’t forget to get a special something for yourself!

Back to Nature Holiday Market

December 2nd

Hosted by the Chattahoochee Nature Center, this holiday market showcases local artisans offering unique, handmade, and/or eco-friendly gifts. Everything ranging from art to jewelry to home décor, food and children’s gifts can be found at this event. Reservations in advance are recommended and walk-up visitors may be accommodated depending on current attendance. Parking is limited so carpool with friends and make a day out of it!

Holiday Market at Farmview

December 2nd

Fun for the whole family is in store when you stop by the Holiday Market at Farmview. Kids can take their photo with Santa, get creative with a holiday craft, and enjoy the petting zoo full of furry friends. All day there will be live music and a hot cocoa bar full of all the luxuries to make a perfect cup of cocoa. You can wrap up your holiday shopping by browsing the available treats and handcrafted gifts.

Savannah Christmas Market

November 16th – January 1st

If you’re looking for a magical weekend away from the city, the Savannah Christmas Market is the destination for you!

This European-style outdoor market was rated the #1 holiday market in the Southeast. This year features the first annual Festival of Trees with stunning trees decorated to represent unique local businesses. At this market you will find live entertainment, photos with Santa, holiday themed food and drinks, and of course gifts to complete your holiday shopping. You can also enjoy cookie decorating, a boat parade of lights, lighting of the Christmas tree, brunch with Santa, and the annual Christmas parade. There are so many things to do, this is a destination market you don’t want to miss!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this holiday season or want a cozy Christmas market to warm up to this winter, then be sure to check out these holiday markets near our luxury Atlanta apartments (and one a little further away). You’re sure to make some great memories and leave with some fun items!
