'It's a Great Day to Be In Lone Tree'

by
Mar 23rd, 2016

Straddling 10 square miles on the northern fringe of Colorado’s Douglas County, Lone Tree is blessed with a beautiful natural setting and benefits from a smart planning history. The city’s motto – “It’s a great day to be in Lone Tree” – feels appropriate, since every day really can be a great day to be in Lone Tree. If you wish to make one of yours especially great, here are a few ways to do it.

Enjoy Breakfast Outside

Start your day off right with some eggs, hash browns, and the protein of your choice under the hot sun. Snooze: An AM Eatery has a great outdoor seating area if you’re looking to get served. If you’re up for preparing your own breakfast, enjoy it on your balcony or in one of your favorite neighborhood green spaces.

Other Outdoor Dining Options

If you save the outdoor dining for later in the day, Parry’s Pizza, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grill, and John Holly’s Asian Bistro are fine options. All are about five minutes, driving, from AMLI RidgeGate Lone Tree apartments. Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli, featuring an extensive sandwich selection, is just a 10-minute walk.

You can also get delivery or takeout from The Sportsbook Bar & Grill, where residents of AMLI RidgeGate get 10% off the total bill as part of the AMLI PERKS program.

Go For a Walk or Bike Ride

Lone Tree is very cycle-friendly, with little traffic and varied terrain. The Bluffs Regional Park Loop, a nice 2.6-mile mountain biking trail, is also great for walking and horseback riding. It offers scenic mountain views on clear days and an array of colorful wildflowers in the spring.

High-Intensity Interval Training

You can build your own high-intensity interval training workout on your bike. But if you wish to incorporate free weights and a climate-controlled setting, a visit to the gym may be exactly what you need. The Lone Tree Recreation Center is popular, but residents of AMLI RidgeGate may not even need to travel that far. With a fully-equipped fitness center featuring iPod technology, and a heated pool and spa, this apartment community practically doubles as a rec center.

Skydive Inside

Lone Tree is home to Colorado’s only iFly World indoor skydiving experience. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of indoor skydiving, it utilizes advanced technology to simulate true freefall conditions in a vertical wind tunnel. In other words, it enables you to fly. And it allows you to do so without jumping or wearing a parachute.

The State of Colorado has so much to offer that you’re bound to Live Life + Love Life outside of your RidgeGate apartments some weekends. But staying in Lone Tree can be exciting, too. Find fun in the form of culinary delights, an intense workout, or a thrilling experience of the once-in-a-lifetime variety. After all, it’s a great day to be in Lone Tree!
