This bakery specializes in pies, cheesecakes, cookies and milkshakes. Stop in for a variety of different slices or order whole pies and cakes for special occasions. Try their guava coconut rum cake, birthday cake cheesecake or their classic apple pie. Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop is located in North Miami in the heart of Wynwood, a ~20-mile drive from our Dadeland apartment rentals.
Chill N’ Nitrogen Ice Cream

Get your ice cream made to order right in front of you at Chill N’ Nitrogen Ice Cream. First, select your base—there are both dairy and non-dairy options available. Add your flavor such as chocolate, cake batter, mint, salted caramel and a ton of others. Then add mix-ins like sprinkles, brownies, bananas, M&M’s, nuts or cookie bits. There is so much to chose from at this dessert spot! The Miami location is just 3 miles from our apartments near Dadeland Mall and the Fort Lauderdale location is just 3 miles from our downtown Ft. Lauderdale apartments.
OH MY GOSH! Brigadeiros

This Miami bakery and coffee shop has it all when it comes to sweet treats. Everything on their menu is made using high-quality ingredients and has both gluten-free and egg-free options. Try one of their amazing cupcake flavors, a Nutella cappuccino or take one of their cake jars to go. Drive 6 miles northeast on South Dixie Highway from our Dadeland apartments.
Sweeter Days Bake Shop

This baked goods shop provides a wide range of gourmet cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies and other sweet desserts for all occasions in a cheerful space. Sweeter Days Bake Shop has daily flavors as well as seasonally rotating flavors for their line of bakery. Try their Boston cream cupcake, red velvet cookies or ultimate chocolate brownies. This bakery also provides custom cakes and desserts for every kind of special event. Located in Fort Lauderdale, just 12 miles from our luxury apartments in Davie.
Crossan’Time French Bakery
1201 N. Federal Highway
This longtime French bakery serves sweet and savory croissants, baked goods and desserts in a quaint interior. This Fort Lauderdale dessert spot has something for every taste from perfectly golden croissants, cakes, tarts, macaroons, mini pastries and handmade chocolate candies. Crossan’Times also serves fresh bread and other fine food items to satisfy anyone. Stop in on a Sunday from 11am-3pm for live music. This bakery is worth the 20-mile trip from our Sunrise Florida apartments.
