Houston Heights is home to mom and pop shops, funky restaurants, quaint boutiques, thrift stores, antique shops and intimate cafes. Another reason we love Houston Heights is their “First Saturday Arts Market” where live music, crafts, plants and artwork are on display every first Saturday of the month. It’s a place worth checking out no matter what you’re shopping for.
Shops at Houston Center
Located In the heart of downtown, the shops at Houston Center offers a variety of dining, shopping, pharmacies and other services. This is the perfect destination for the Downtowner on the go. Whether you’re looking for a new gadget, a sleek outfit, a good meal or to pick up a prescription—you can find it here.

Hosting over 300 shops, this pedestrian-friendly area appeals to families and young professionals alike. You can find fashion-forward local and national stores, restaurants and pubs. Rice Village extends over 16 city blocks and is one of Houston’s oldest shopping districts.

There are 14 restaurants scattered throughout the shopping center, some with courtyard-style patios where you can relax after a long day of shopping. Not only is the shopping great, but the building architecture and landscaping are things of beauty. The grounds are well maintained and lovely to just walk around and window shop.
