If you’re in the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington area and are looking for some top-tier nightlife and entertainment, then Addison is the place to go!

Located just 20 minutes from Downtown Dallas, Addison is known throughout the region for its wide selection of restaurants, vibrant nightlife, extensive park system and ease of access to metropolitan areas. It’s the ideal neighborhood for those who like the hustle and bustle of sprawling Dallas without actually being in the center of the city.

Dining & shopping near Addison

If you have a hard time choosing where you want to eat, then make sure to allot some extra time into your schedule for browsing through the 170+ restaurants in Addison. There are so many restaurants in Addison, in fact, that there is a restaurant for every 90 residents who live there! If that’s not impressive, then I don’t know what it is.

There are some great dining options in Addison along Belt Line Road. Chamberlain’s Fish Market Grill is considered to be one of the Dallas area’s best steakhouses, and honestly we are inclined to agree! Coal Vines Prestonwood near White Rock Creek is the perfect upscale Italian restaurant for a date night or meetup with friends. This bistro and wine bar offers an impressive selection of wines, cocktails , pizzas and pastas, as well as sporting some tasty appetizers and small plates, too. Plus, residents at our luxury Addison apartments get a free appetizer or dessert each time they visit!

There’s also no shortage of world-class shopping in Addison. The Addison Walk at the intersection of Belt Line Road and the Dallas Parkway offers a wide range of retail stores, fitness studios and sleek restaurants. The Village on the Parkway offers much of the same, in addition to a movie theatre, jewelry stores and spas!

Addison area parks

Part of Addison’s appeal is that you get the same city-living feel as you would in Dallas, but it’s also balanced with plenty of green space to enjoy alongside the urban environment. In fact, there are 17 public parks in Addison, each with a unique combination of art, trails, fountains, gazebos and event spaces!

Addison Circle Park is the city's most popular park and immediately across the street from our luxury apartments in Addison. The park is right in the center of Addison where visitors can enjoy picnics, sports, water features and so much more on the ten acres of green space. The art installations, gazebos and pavilion serve as great locations for events, live music and performances.

Other parks like Arapaho Park, Bosque Park, Quorum Park and Celestial Park are havens for art-lovers and those who appreciate architecture. Parks like Dome Park and George Herbert Walker Bush Elementary School Park are perfect for kiddos, offering plenty of lawn to run and playgrounds to play, as well as educational pollinator gardens and picnic tables.

Birdwatchers, picnic-goers and tennis players can head to Les Lacs Linear Park, where trails wind around ponds and benches offer quiet moments of solitude. Or, if you’re looking for some exercise, grab your tennis racquet, pickleball set, basketball or volleyball for a game with friends.

Convenient location

Addison is perfect for the commuter or frequent traveler, as it’s situated right next to major highways that connect Addison to surrounding cities.

Downtown Dallas is just half an hour’s drive via the North Tollway. Fort Worth is just under an hour away via Interstate 30, and DFW International Airport is only 24 minutes away via Interstate 635. The President George Bush Turnpike and the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway are accessible within a few minutes’ drive, both of which are ideal for convenient travel in and around the Dallas metropolitan area.

Public transit is also easily accessible from the Addison area. Don’t feel like driving to Dallas, DFW Airport or Fort Worth? Hop on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) at the Irving Convention Center Station, which is just 20 minutes away. From there, you can get anywhere along the line stress-free.

Addison itself has plenty of bus stops and public transit options, making your eco-friendly commuting dreams an easy reality!

Addison attractions

Addison’s convenient location makes it easy to reach nearby attractions without the stress of traffic and long commutes. Here are a few of our favorites!

Texas’ famed three-story mall, Galleria Dallas, is less than 10 minutes away along the Dallas North Tollway. This multi-level indoor mall is bursting with retail stores, attractions and restaurants — from Nordstrom to ice rinks to Victoria’s Secret and so much more!

Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar is the spot to be for a high-energy night out on the town, and residents at our new apartments in Addison get exclusive discounts on entry costs and tabs!  Don't miss the nearby Epic Helicopter Tours provide one of the more peaceful, breathtaking experiences in town.

There are always good breweries around, of course, and Bitter Sisters Brewery is one of them. Breaking Brew Meadery also holds the proud title of first meadery in North Texas and is right in the heart of Addison, easily accessible to everyone wanting to try the honey-based brew.

Whether you’re enjoying Addison’s many parks, the retail stores or the area’s plentiful supply of dining venues, Addison is sure to have something for you to enjoy!
