Unlike Dallas’ Uptown and Deep Ellum neighborhoods, nearby Irving’s Las Colinas isn’t known as a nightlife hub. But the Irving gem packs a punch for a community of its size. Where nightlife is concerned, the area around Las Colinas has it all: pubs, sports bars, dance clubs, and cocktail lounges. Here’s a look at some of the community’s nightlife offerings.
10 Downing Street
Amid the post-Brexit turmoil of late summer and early fall, a 10 Downing Street opened far from the English prime minister’s residence. Inspired by the country where you’ll find its namesake, 10 Downing Street serves English pub food and Indian fare. The Las Colinas sports bar has a large drink selection and several high-definition TVs for screening football, baseball, basketball, and soccer games. Despite being fairly new, this Irving nightlife venue has already thrown a handful of successful themed dance parties on weekend nights.
Champps
If you’re familiar with the Champps sports bar chain, you’ll have an idea what to expect before your first visit to Irving’s outpost. Champps is a fun place to catch a game. Its kitchen is open until close every night. And brunch is served until 2pm on weekends.
Cowboys Dance Hall
Just five minutes down the 348 from AMLI’s Las Colinas apartments is a place where cowboys and cowgirls can let loose any night of the week. Live honky tonk music fills the air at Cowboys, where patrons come to learn how to dance and hone their moves. Cowboys also has a mechanical bull for those who are daring.
Escapade 2009
If you prefer to shake it off to ranchera or cumbia music, be sure to check out Escapade. The DJs here do the best to feel out the crowd, altering their sets accordingly. Escapade is a short drive down the 348 from AMLI Las Colinas and a 10-minute drive from AMLI on Riverside.
The LOFT Bar at NYLO Las Colinas
Another upscale hotel bar, The Loft Bar at NYLO Las Colinas is about as chic as they come. Patrons can sit at the bar, choose from one of several loungy alcoves, or cozy up by the courtyard fireplace. This modern nightlife destination is a five-minute drive from the luxury apartments in Irving at AMLI on Riverside.
M Bar
M Bar, carved out of a lovely corner of the Omni Mandalay Las Colinas, is not your average hotel lobby bar. It has an intimate cocktail lounge feel and serves high-caliber drinks.
