Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is known for its cozy cafes, delightful restaurants, and fun nightlife. Not surprisingly, it’s also one of the Seattle neighborhoods with the highest density of brunch spots. The next time you’re looking to catch up with friends over a slow, tasty meal on a Saturday or Sunday morning, consider one of these beloved Capitol Hill brunch spots.
Cafe Barjot
A bakery, cafe, restaurant, and bar, Cafe Barjot is about as full-service as a dining establishment can be. All of its areas of expertise come together to provide weekend visitors a delightful Capitol Hill brunch experience. Currant scones, walnut banana bread, and eggs baked on flavorful prosciutto are a few of the choices you’ll have to mull over when you decide to visit. And did I mention almost everything on the menu is under ten dollars? Couple that with the fact that Cafe Barjot is just a quick drive from AMLI South Lake Union, and this brunch spot is a win-win.
Monsoon
For something Asian-inspired, you’d be hard pressed to find a better Capitol Hill brunch option than Monsoon. Blending “Vietnamese cuisine with Pacific Northwest innovation,” Monsoon offers a traditional dim sum menu, like steamed dumplings and pork buns, and more classic American brunch favorites like Dungeness crab Benedict and frittata.
Plum Bistro
Seattle is known for being one of the more vegetarian-friendly cities in the U.S. However, with the dominance of egg-based dishes on brunch menus, this meal can be be a bit trickier for vegans who, unlike their vegetarian cousins, don’t eat eggs. Plum Bistro is a Japanese fusion restaurant that seeks to make brunch vegan-friendly. The restaurant serves a completely vegan brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring mouthwatering delights such as candied apple “bacon” waffles and the Plum breakfast slam.
Cafe Solstice
Tucked away in a nondescript building at Thomas and 10th Avenue, Cafe Solstice is a hidden gem. The place only has a few tables, but they’re large enough to accommodate groups of friends looking to catch up over mimosas and sinfully delicious food. This place gets rave reviews, especially the chorizo scramble and waffles, and it’s not far from AMLI 535’s Capitol Hill apartments.
It’s easy to Live Life + Love Life in Seattle apartments because the neighborhoods are rich in culture and culinary options. Capitol Hill is certainly no exception to this rule and its brunch offerings should keep your weekends full for a long time.
