Living in Washington means you probably spend a lot of time outdoors with your dog — whether that's hitting the trails at Marymoor Park, strolling the Sammamish River Trail or wandering through Redmond Town Center. And when hunger hits, the last thing you want to do is head home just because your pup is with you!
The good news is that both Redmond and Bellevue have a growing number of restaurants and breweries that welcome dogs with open paws. Some let your four-legged friend join you inside, while others have patios built with pups in mind, complete with heaters, blankets and even dedicated dog menus.
If you live anywhere near our Seattle apartments, you’ll find this roundup of spots worth checking out the next time you and your dog are looking for a place to eat or grab a drink.
Redmond restaurants that allow dogs
Redmond restaurants that allow dogs indoors
Finding a place that lets your dog come inside with you — not just on a patio — is tricky to come by. These three spots in Redmond are the standouts!
Flatstick Pub
Redmond Town Center
Flatstick Pub is part craft beer bar and part adult playground. They have over 30 taps of locally brewed beer, cider and wine along with a menu of brick oven pizzas, Bavarian pretzels and wings. But what makes the place really stand out is the entertainment. There's an indoor mini golf course, a custom game called Duffleboard (think shuffleboard meets mini golf) and darts.
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome inside during lunch and dinner, making it one of the few spots in the area where your pup doesn't have to sit outside while you eat. It's a solid option for a casual night out that goes beyond just grabbing a bite. They're open daily and stay open later on weekends.
Northwest Brewing Co. (Pint & Pie Public House)
Downtown Redmond
Northwest Brewing has been making craft beer since 2009 and their Redmond taproom is one of the most genuinely dog-friendly spots in the city! The owner has explicitly stated that the space is dog-friendly and multiple reviews confirm that bringing your pup inside is common and encouraged. They also have a small outdoor patio if you prefer fresh air.
The menu leans into comfort food territory with savory pot pies (the Burgundy Beef and Chicken Pot Pie are popular), artisan pizzas like the Fig & Pig and The Duke (a meat-lover's dream) and loaded tots. They also brew their own beer on-site and offer flights so you can sample a few styles!
This place is also a favorite among dog owners coming from Marymoor Park, so it's close enough to swing by after a walk and the relaxed vibe makes it easy to settle in. Live music pops up on select nights and there are dartboards and big screens for catching games.
Postdoc Brewing
Southeast Redmond
Postdoc Brewing sits right next to the east entrance of Marymoor Park, which makes it about as convenient as it gets for dog owners! Dogs are welcome both in the tasting room and out in the beer garden area.
Postdoc doesn't serve its own food but hosts rotating food trucks daily, so you can check their website or social media for the schedule. What they do serve is a solid lineup of craft beer — lagers, blondes, fruit beers, IPAs, ciders and even non-alcoholic options. The science-themed branding (the name is a nod to postdoctoral research) fits right in with the tech-heavy Redmond crowd.
The setting is casual but the spacious beer garden, friendly staff and proximity to the park make it a natural gathering spot for any sort of get-together! It also happens to be right next door to Mac & Jack's Brewery, so you can easily make it a two-stop outing.
Redmond restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor patios
Most dog-friendly dining in the area happens on patios. Here are nine spots across Redmond, the Spring District and Bellevue that make outdoor dining with your dog easy and enjoyable!
The Redd Dog
Downtown Bellevue
If any restaurant on the Eastside was built for dog owners, it's The Redd Dog. The entire brand is inspired by the founders' dog Redd and the patio is designed with pups in mind — heaters, fireplaces, picnic tables and blankets. Dogs are not allowed inside but the outdoor setup more than makes up for it.
The standout feature is the self-pour tap wall with over 42 options including craft beer, cider, wine, kombucha and seltzers. You load up a pour card and pay by the ounce, which makes sampling fun and endlessly customizable! The food menu covers pizza, sandwiches, nachos and shareable appetizers, but the real draw for dog owners is the dedicated dog menu! Grilled chicken bowls, bacon strips, pup patties and Bowser Beer are on the menu, plus an in-house "Barkery" with homemade treats that you can take home!
Bellevue Brewing Company — Spring District Brewpub
Spring District
This brewpub has one of the largest outdoor patios in Bellevue and is right in the heart of the Spring District! Dogs are welcome on the patio, which looks into the active brewery through large glass roll-up doors.
Bellevue Brewing has won multiple awards for their craft beer. Popular picks include the Yellow Umbrella pineapple ale, Gem Cluster and Backwards Hat IPA. The food menu is more substantial than your average brewery — burgers, pizzas, salads and sandwiches — with vegan options available.
The brewery is in a prime location, too. It’s near the light rail and major tech campuses, making it a popular after-work spot, and it’s just across the park from our Spring District apartments in Bellevue, WA!
Spark Pizza
Redmond
Spark Pizza serves wood-fired, New York-style pizzas with Neapolitan influences using locally sourced ingredients. Their covered outdoor patio is dog-friendly and open year-round with string lights, cherry trees and outdoor heaters for cooler days.
The menu rotates with seasonal pizza specials alongside house favorites. They also offer creative desserts like their orange and garam masala cannoli. Beer, wine and cocktails are available on tap. Spark has been recognized as one of the best pizza spots in Washington and their house-made dough is available for purchase if you want to make pizza at home.
Redmond's Bar & Grill
Downtown Redmond
A classic American bar and grill located right on the Redmond Central Connector trail, making it a natural stop for dog walkers. Dogs are welcome at outdoor tables when weather permits.
The menu covers pub-style classics like fish tacos, burgers and filet mignon, plus a full bar with craft cocktails and 24 beers on tap. The downtown Redmond location and trail access make it one of the more convenient options on this list, especially for anyone in our luxury apartments in Redmond!
Pomegranate Bistro
Redmond
For something a bit more polished, Pomegranate Bistro is an upscale-casual spot run by chef Lisa Dupar in Southeast Redmond. Dogs are welcome on their large outdoor patio. The menu features flatbreads, the Bistro Benedict, Savannah Hot Puffs and fresh-baked pastries from the in-house bakery. Brunch is especially popular.
This is a step up from most dog-friendly spots, too — it was voted Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant in the 2024 Seattle Times Best in the Pacific Northwest awards and has a farm-to-table approach with a stylish but relaxed atmosphere.
Resonate Brewery + Pizzeria
Bellevue
Resonate combines award-winning handcrafted beer with Roman-style pizza made from dough that ferments for 72 to 96 hours! The brewery has earned over 12 awards including recognition at the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival. And, of course, dogs are welcome on the covered outdoor patio.
Over 15 beers are on tap at all times, ranging from hop-forward ales to tart sour beers, though the King Bee Honey Brown Ale is a customer favorite!
Paddy Coyne's Irish Pub
Downtown Bellevue
This authentic Irish pub has a large enclosed, covered and heated patio where dogs are welcome. You do have to walk through the restaurant to reach the patio, but once you're there it's spacious and comfortable with full-sized tables and chairs.
The menu sticks to traditional Irish comfort food like shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, corned beef sandwiches, along with a strong beer and whiskey selection. The covered and heated setup makes it a reliable year-round option, which matters a lot in the Pacific Northwest. Water bowls are provided for dogs, so be sure to stop by after your hike or walk!
520 Bar & Grill
Bellevue
This neighborhood staple has a garden-style outdoor seating area that's dog-friendly and perfect for a cool evening or summer night! In winter, the handy heat lamps and blankets keep things comfortable when the temperature drops. The menu mixes traditional bar food like nachos and burgers with more eclectic options — shrimp ceviche, tropical prawn salad and curry lemongrass mussels.
The garden patio feels more like an outdoor lounge than standard restaurant seating, which makes it a pleasant spot to linger with your dog!
Mac & Jack's Brewery
Redmond
If you’re at all familiar with the area, then you’ll know that Mac & Jack's is a Redmond institution! Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, too, which is set up in a casual beer garden style within an industrial park.
There's no full food menu (they offer free pretzels and occasional food truck visits) but the beer lineup is strong with about a dozen options on tap at any given time, including Serengeti Wheat, Blackcat Porter and Resolution IPA. Their African Amber is one of the most recognized beers on the Eastside, so definitely give that one a try! Free brewery tours are available on Saturdays and, since Postdoc Brewing is right next door, you can easily make it a two-stop dog-friendly brewery crawl without moving your car!
Seattle’s Eastside has come a long way when it comes to welcoming dogs at restaurants and breweries. Whether you're looking for a post-hike pint, a weekend brunch spot or a full dinner out with your pup by your side, there are plenty of options across Redmond and Bellevue that make it easy to bring your dog along. Just remember to keep your pup leashed, bring a water bowl and call ahead to double-check the current policy.
Happy dining!
