Wineries & Tasting Rooms in Wynwood

by
Mar 27th, 2026

If you're a wine lover living in or visiting the Wynwood area, you might assume you need to head to Napa or Sonoma to get a real wine experience. But Miami's creative capital and its surrounding neighborhoods — Midtown, Edgewater and the Design District — have built one of the most exciting wine scenes near our South Florida apartments. You won't find rolling vineyards or barrel rooms here, but what you will find is a growing collection of dedicated wine bars, sommelier-led boutiques, wine-forward restaurants and unique tasting experiences that rival what you'd find in much bigger wine cities.

Here's your guide to the best spots for sipping, swirling and exploring wine in and around our luxury Miami apartments in Wynwood.

Where to find good wine in Wynwood

Dedicated wine bars & wine shops

These are the spots where wine isn't just on the menu — it is the menu.

Lagniappe

Lagniappe has been a Miami institution since 2012 and has earned recognition from Wine Enthusiast as one of the top wine bars in America. The concept is simple: walk up to the counter, pick your wine, order a charcuterie and cheese board and find a seat in the lush backyard garden. There are no traditional waiters here — just a self-service format that encourages you to stay as long as you want.

The outdoor space is filled with mismatched chairs, string lights and a relaxed energy that makes it easy to lose track of time. Inside, live jazz plays most nights with no cover charge. The wine selection is broad and international, and prices are surprisingly reasonable for Miami. Beyond wine, the menu includes grilled items like churrasco, fresh fish and organic chicken, though most people come for the wine-and-cheese combination.

Fair warning: this is Miami's worst-kept secret. On a weekend night during high season, snagging a table can feel like a competitive sport. Arrive before 8 PM if you want to sit comfortably!

Barcelona Wine Bar

Barcelona Wine Bar has become a Wynwood staple for its approachable Spanish tapas and a wine list that's both long and surprisingly affordable. Bottles start under $40, and the happy hour deal — half-off sparkling wine Monday through Thursday from 4-6pm and starting at 2pm on Fridays — makes it one of the better wine values in the neighborhood!

The tapas menu covers the classics: patatas bravas, mussels with sofrito and pressed artichoke on olive tapenade. On weekends, a live DJ keeps the energy high, which can make conversation a challenge but adds to the atmosphere. Barcelona is the kind of place that works for a first date, a birthday dinner or a casual night out with friends who can't agree on where to go!

SottoVoce

SottoVoce is a newer hidden gem that's generating buzz as a quieter alternative to Lagniappe. The concept is minimal in both setting and offerings: tables and chairs set up in an alley behind a restaurant, an all-Italian wine list and a charcuterie menu built around cured meats, cheeses, pear-truffle marmalade and toasted focaccia.

The real draw is the happy hour, running 4-6pm from Wednesday through Sunday. It's a speakeasy-style wine garden that feels intimate and tucked away — perfect for a low-key evening!

Wine Not?

Wine Not? is a neighborhood wine shop and casual bar near our apartments in Edgewater that serves as a relaxed spot for a glass of wine, a bottle to go or some light snacking. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, and the shop hosts periodic wine tasting events (so it’s worth following them on social media for updates).

It's a great option if you're looking for something unpretentious in the Edgewater area. Prices are fair, the vibe is laid-back and it's a solid pick for a casual afternoon glass or a last-minute bottle.

Presidente Bar

Presidente is an upscale cocktail bar near our apartments in Wynwood that also features a curated wine and whisky selection. While cocktails are the main event, the wine offerings are thoughtfully chosen and pair well with the bar's elevated small bites menu. The atmosphere is polished and a bit dressy compared to most Wynwood venues, and a back room called La Biblioteca is available for private events.

Wine-focused restaurants

These restaurants aren't wine bars per se, but their wine programs are a significant part of the experience!

dōma

This fine Italian restaurant from hospitality professional Luca Lomonaco offers a retreat from the bustle of Wynwood. The wine list leans heavily Italian and complements a menu of both traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, from beef carpaccio to homemade pasta to tiramisu and more! The charming courtyard makes for a lovely al fresco dining experience.

Otto & Pepe

A casual pasta restaurant with a serious natural wine program. The wine list features over 90 labels, primarily from Italy and organized by region, making it easy to explore if you know your preferred area or want to discover a new one. The open-kitchen pasta bar lets you watch your food being made, and you can also purchase bottles to take home.

Sixty Vines

The concept here is built around 60 wines on tap, which makes it incredibly easy to explore by the glass without committing to a full bottle. Wine flights are popular, and the modern American menu is designed to pair with what you're drinking. It's a wine-exploration-friendly format that works well for both beginners and more experienced drinkers!

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink

A Design District institution since 2007, this popular spot was founded by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. The wine list is varied and eclectic, designed to complement an approachable American menu with a gourmet twist. Whether you lean classic or unconventional, the list has something for you.

KLAW

This upscale seafood and steakhouse sits in a stunning waterfront setting on Biscayne Bay. The wine list is extensive — we're talking dozens of pages — with options ranging from accessible by-the-glass pours to serious collector bottles. It's a splurge-worthy destination for a special occasion where wine is a central part of the evening.

Wine education & tasting experiences

For something beyond a typical bar visit, these options bring a more structured and educational angle.

SGWS Wynwood (Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits)

This 17,000-square-foot facility is the hospitality and education showcase for Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, the world's largest beverage alcohol distributor. It's not a traditional consumer-facing wine bar but rather an industry education center featuring a mixology lounge, demonstration kitchen, tasting rooms and a direct warehouse store.

SGWS Wynwood hosts wine- and cocktail-focused dinners, master classes, pairing seminars, chef pop-ups and new product launches. Private events are available with full-service catering by Constellation Culinary Group. If you're in the industry or looking for a unique corporate event venue with serious wine credentials, this is a one-of-a-kind option in Wynwood!

Tipsy Experiences

Tipsy Experiences is a mobile wine and spirits tasting company that brings expert-led tastings directly to your home, office or event space. They offer guided wine tastings, bourbon tastings and blind tasting experiences — all with a knowledgeable host who provides supplies, glassware and a polished presentation. It's a great option for corporate events, private parties, team-building or a unique group outing!

You won't find grapevines growing in Wynwood, but you will find a wine scene that's surprisingly deep and diverse. Whether you're looking for a casual glass in a backyard garden, a sommelier-led education over charcuterie, a multi-page wine list at an upscale seafood restaurant or a private tasting brought to your doorstep, this corner of Miami has you covered. The neighborhood's creative energy has naturally extended to how people drink wine here, and the result is a collection of spots that reward curiosity at every price point.
