Irving's Diverse and Delicious Culinary Scene

by
Nov 28th, 2016

Irving is not your typical large metropolitan suburb. It’s a dynamic and increasingly diverse satellite city with several draws of its own. Among these is an exceptional dining scene, featuring a number of stellar variety of restaurants from cuisines around the world.

Andalous Mediterranean Grill

The autonomous community of Andalusia lies within Spain’s borders, but Andalous Mediterranean Grill’s menu is not limited to dishes with origins in the region. Visit this Irving restaurant to indulge in delights inspired by Spanish, French, Greek, Turkish, Israeli, Lebanese, and Tunisian culinary traditions. Andalous is a five-minute drive from AMLI at Escena and less than ten minutes’ from the Irving apartments at AMLI Las Colinas.

Bombay Chowpatty

Irving has a high concentration of Indian restaurants—and this is one of the best. Bombay Chowpatty aims to celebrate South Indian street food culture, offering an array of dishes you can by on the streets of Mumbai, which changed its name from Bombay in 1995. Brilliant photographs of Indian street scenes contribute to the experience. AMLI at Escena is a four-minute drive away.

Empa Mundo

Argentine-style empanadas are the namesake behind this wildly popular Irving restaurant. Empa Mundo’s empanadas include Argentine classics like caprese, ham and cheese, and spinach and cheese. The restaurant’s 18 empanada flavors also include regionally inspired options like pulled pork and Texas brisket.

Maki Boy

Affordable, quality Japanese food is difficult to come by in the Dallas area. At Maki Boy, a no-frills eatery serving sushi, teriyaki dishes, and classic Japanese soups, great food at fair prices is the norm. This Irving restaurant is a 15-minute drive from AMLI at Escena.

Nalinh Market

Nalinh Market is one of the best-stocked Asian groceries in the Dallas area. It also doubles as a restaurant, specializing in soups, salads, and rice and noodle dishes hailing from Laos and Thailand. Nalinh Market is in South Irving, a 10- or 15-minute drive from AMLI Las Colinas.

Rangoli Sweets and Snacks

Contrary to what you might assume from its name, Rangoli Sweets and Snacks’ menu features several entrees. Most of the dishes originate from the Indian state of Gujarat, known for its flavorful spice blends and vegetarian-friendly fare. As its name implies, Rangoli is also a great place to indulge in Indian appetizers and desserts.

Via Real

Via Real is an upscale Irving restaurant specializing in southwestern and Mexican cuisine. South-of-the-border and Tex-Mex favorites include tacos, tamales, quesadillas, fajitas, and enchiladas. Via Real also pays homage to Santa Fe culinary traditions, and has other popular dishes including tentacion and chicken monterey. The Irving restaurant is a great spot for a date night or celebratory dining with family and friends.
