As the temperatures continue to climb and the days become longer, there’s not much better than enjoying a delicious meal and a cold cocktail outside on the patio. In Alpharetta, residents have the best of both worlds with bold flavors and outdoor seating options for everyone’s enjoyment. With dozens upon dozens of dining options, Alpharetta is a paradise for food lovers of all stripes, promising delectable cuisine guaranteed to satisfy. From savory seafood dishes to juicy burgers, you’ll never run out of options! Below, we’ve curated a list of some outdoor options for you to visit. And don’t worry, they’re all in close proximity to our North Point apartments!

South Main Kitchen

Known for it’s “shabby-chic” atmosphere, South Main Kitchen adds a contemporary twist to classic Southern cuisine. Set in a historic building built in 1902, the restaurant is in the heart of Alpharetta’s Historic Downtown District and offers an open kitchen, comfortable dining room and rooftop bar for its guests. South Main Kitchen serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, with menu items including dishes such as fried oysters, mushroom cavatelli and springer mountain chicken. Their menu is subject to change depending on seasonal availability from local farms, but we promise—anything you choose will be delish!

Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar

900 First St.

This small-batch brewing company brings more than just amazing beer, they’ve also got burgers, salads and sandwiches to satisfy your hunger, all made in-house to order. According to their website, Barleygarden caters to “newbies, beer geeks and everyone in between.” All they ask is that you bring your appetite and a thirst for adventurous beer. Shouldn’t be too challenging, right?

Enjoy your meal indoors or take your experience outside to their patio, where you’re even invited to bring your four-legged friend along! To cater to your pups, Barleygarden provides watering bowls and treats, leaving no guest (human or not) unsatisfied! And although their menu might be on the simpler side, they’re sure to cover all of the basics and keep you coming back for more. Check out some of their menu items below:

  • Sweet Italian Sausage – sweet pork with fennel
  • Butcher’s Bun – shaved ribeye, gruyere, baby arugula, fried onion, roasted garlic aioli, sesame Cuban bread
  • The BG Steakburger – two 4oz dry-aged ground sirloin patties

Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails

For those looking for a juicy steak and a top-notch cocktail to start their evening off right, Milton’s Cuisine is the place to be. Located in the five points of Crabapple’s Historic District, Milton’s Cuisine is set in a 150-year old farmhouse that was restored and now serves as a charming spot to dine out. Also included is an outdoor deck and patio, giving you the chance to enjoy your meal outside in the beautiful Georgia weather.

The restaurant includes contemporary Southern cuisine that incorporates local ingredients to all of their dishes, providing you with fresh, bold flavors. For meal choices, Milton’s offers both dinner and Sunday brunch, guaranteed to please your taste buds and leave you feeling stuffed (in a good way, of course!). Take your pick from benedicts and omelettes to southern fried chicken and sesame crusted mountain trout. And the options don’t stop there! Milton’s serves up signature, mouth-watering steaks for those arriving with a big appetite. Even better? You can add options such as crab, shrimp and oysters to your steak dishes!
