It’s time to dust off your snowboard and dig up your snow sports gear. The 2014/2015 Colorado ski season kicked off on October 13, when Arapahoe Basin opened its lifts to the public. By now, most parks have opened for business. The first month of the season wasn’t all that spectacular, but the next several months should be packed with fresh powder to tackle. If you’re new to Denver or are just now getting acquainted with the official state winter sport, you might find this introductory guide to Denver area ski resorts useful.

Conveniently situated near Printers Row in Chicago’s trendy South Loop neighborhood, AMLI Lofts is now open! To commemorate the occasion, the upscale apartment community hosted a celebratory event for new residents and select brokers late last month. Turnout was great, and a well-coordinated schedule ensured attendees visited the community’s resident lounge, outdoor courtyard, and state-of-the-art fitness center. Fine drinks, tasty eats, and memorable entertainment were among the grand opening party highlights enjoyed.

We asked our residents to submit a photograph of their best do-it-yourself (DIY) project with a descriptive caption that describes it, and almost 300 flooded in for the national My AMLI DIY contest! The submissions blew us away with their creativity and crafty skills! We saw everything from tables made with pallets and wine crates to reupholstered furniture, to plumbing pipes used as bookshelves, and so much more.
