Chicago Summer Festivals

Summer in Chicago is one of my favorite seasons. Yes, that means winter and sub-zero temperatures are finally over, but it also means it’s time for festivals! As more and more people travel, entrepreneurs and travel experts work to fill any niche that opens for new and/or improved services. One example is the myriad accommodation options available abroad. One option that has become especially popular over the past several years is the short-term apartment rental. If you are making preparations to travel for business or pleasure and would like to enjoy the benefits that come with having your own apartment while you are away, this […]

Settled by Norwegians during the latter part of the 19th century, Ballard retains considerable Scandinavian influence to this day. This Nordic influence can be detected in the Scandinavian architecture that dots Ballard’s streets. The time of year at which Ballard’s Norwegian influence is most pronounced, however, is during the summer. Summer is festival season in Ballard, and many of the Seattle neighborhood’s praiseworthy summer events have a distinctly Nordic air about them.

Apartment kitchens tend to be small and when space is of the essence, organization is key. Prepping all ingredients a dish calls for can relieve much of the chaos associated with preparing a meal in a small space, but there are also several changes you can make to improve the state of organization. If you love to cook without feeling overcrowded, heed the following organization tips.
