Everything In Its Place -Home Decluttering

Do you frequently have to shift a bunch of stuff around in order to get at what you’re looking for? Do you bring home new purchases and agonize over having no good place to store them? Do you end up creating makeshift homes for these new items that end up contributing to clutter in your apartment? If you identify with these common life experiences, take a decluttering timeout and put everything in its place.

Pet of the Month - Boomer

It’s no secret that some of our favorite residents have four legs. So when the AMLI Paw-parazzi Pet Photo Contest began receiving entries, it was almost impossible to pick winners. We caught up with Boomer’s human, Dawn Zakarian, to find out more about her life in Chicago’s hip South Loop. It turns out this young pup isn’t quite the pink-shower-cap-wearing-princess she appears to be. With wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as hobbies, there’s […]

Seven Ways to Use Seaweed in the Kitchen

Hailed as “the new kale” for the range and volume of nutrients packed into a single serving, seaweed is growing in popularity at restaurants and in grocery stores. Once it finds its way into our apartment kitchen for the first time, however, many of us have little idea what to do with it. DIY sushi is probably the go-to option for many. Thankfully, though, this veggie-of-the-sea can also be easily integrated into recipes for several other snacks, sides and even main dishes that you can enjoy anytime, any place.
