Nothing chases away the Sunday scaries quite like brunch and bottomless mimosas do. In Houston, there are a plethora of options for you to get your fix—giving you the perfect opportunity to get out of your PJ’s and hit the town. No matter if you’re interested in an elegant platter or buffet-style spread, we’ve got you covered. Take a quick look at these three spots we love.

Liberty Kitchen at the Tree House

963 Bunker Hill Road

Liberty Kitchen serves up modern American food that will make you forget about your ever-approaching Monday. Serving brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 2:30pm, you’ll have options ranging from classic dishes such as eggs with sausage and bacon to adventurous options like the Dixie-fried chicken sliders, complete with bacon jam and gravy. If you’re in the mood to get your drink on, Liberty’s offers up specialty cocktails for you to sip on in the company of your friends and family.

If you’ve never heard of a Bromosa, then you need to hop in your car and make your way on over to Poitín. It’s just a short 5-minute drive from Memorial Heights apartments. With its wide variety of menu options sure to suit all of your cravings and its elegant ambiance, every visit here is a pleasant one. Upon arrival, you’ll have your option for either indoor or outdoor seating. Spend your morning or afternoon indulging in carrot cake pancakes and johnny cakes, or switch things up and add a southern flare with the barbecue shrimp and grits—complete with spring onions, lardons and charred cherry tomato. Featured on CultureMap as one of Houston’s best new restaurants last year, Poitín serves “an eclectic menu of globally inspired dishes that has recently refocused on Southern cuisine centered around executive chef Dominick Lee’s roots in New Orleans.”

1931 Fairview St.

Serving breakfast from 7am to 3pm, Vibrant is every health nut’s dream. According to their website, “we create foods that are gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar-free, corn free, peanut free, soy free and non-GMO.” Vibrant pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients, and makes all of their bread and pastry items from scratch. Not only are all of their plates beautiful (and perfect for Instagram), but all are extremely tasty. Try out their sweet toast, a housemade teff bread with vanilla-cardamon cashew butter, pear sauce and walnut dukkah. If you’re looking for something more on the savory side, their winter breakfast hash is sure to hit the spot—providing you a plate filled with sweet potato, baby spinach, smoke macadamia nut cheese and pasture raised fried eggs. Although you won’t be able to fill your day with bottomless mimosas here, you will have options such as coffees, teas and elixirs.

With all of the above options nestled closely to your Houston apartment, there’s no excuse for you not to get out and try them all. Have a favorite? Make sure to comment below and let us know!
