10 peach-based cocktails and mocktails

The Georgia peach bellini

This elegant brunch classic gets a Southern twist with the addition of fresh Georgia peaches. Combine 1 ounce of peach puree, some strawberries and 1/2 ounce of peach schnapps to a blender and blend until smooth. To serve, fill a champagne flute halfway with the mixture and add 3 ounces of prosecco. Garnish with a fresh peach slice and a mint sprig!

Spicy peach margarita

This margarita packs a flavorful punch! In a blender, mix 2 ounces of jalapeno simple syrup with 4 ounces of tequila, 2 ounces of peach puree and 2 ounces of fresh lime juice and ice. Blend, then serve in two margarita glasses rimmed with chili powder (an optional but worthwhile garnish). Enjoy!

Bourbon peach smash

This refreshing drink is perfect for poolside lounging. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 ounces of bourbon, ½ cup of diced peaches, a sprig of mint leaves, and ice. Muddle, then shake until cold. Strain into a rocks glass with ice and top with ginger beer or club soda.

Peach smash

This simple yet satisfying cocktail really lets the peaches shine, so its worthwhile picking a Georgia peach variety that’s good for juicing or has a tender flesh.

In a shaker, muddle 2-3 fresh peach slices (remove the skins, if you can) with a few mint leaves. Add 2 ounces of gin, 1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice and ice, then shake well and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

Peach old fashioned

Give this classic cocktail a fruity twist. Muddle a fresh peach slice with a sugar cube, an orange rind slice and a maraschino cherry in a rocks glass, then add a dash of Angostura bitters, 2 ounces of bourbon, a splash of club soda and a large ice cube. Garnish with a twist of orange peel or a thin slice from a firm peach.

Sparkling peach punch mocktail

This crowd-pleasing punch is perfect for summer parties and gatherings.

Blend a can of peaches until smooth, then add water, sugar, peach Jell-O powder, lemon juice and peach juice. Freeze the mixture in ice cube trays or freezer bags until ready to serve, then add to a pitcher and top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh peach slices and mint leaves.

Fizzy peach lemonade mocktail

This bubbly beverage is as refreshing as it gets. In a tall glass filled with ice, combine 1 cup of fresh peach puree, 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup to taste, then top with chilled club soda. Garnish with a mint sprig and a fresh peach slice, then sip and enjoy!

Peach and ginger cooler mocktail

This healthy mocktail is packed with flavor. In a tall glass with ice, combine fresh peach puree with a teaspoon of fresh ginger, then top with sparkling water and serve! Add ginger syrup to give it an extra kick!

Creamy peach smoothie mocktail

This smoothie is a delightful afternoon pick-me-up. In a blender, combine frozen peaches, Greek yogurt, coconut milk and honey until smooth and creamy. Pour into a smoothie glass, a hollow pineapple or half a coconut for that tropical beachside smoothie feel!

Spiced peach ice tea mocktail

This comforting drink is perfect for a cozy afternoon or evening. Make a simple syrup with fresh peaches, water, sugar, star anise and cinnamon, then add a bit of that spicy, sugary goodness to a glass of iced black tea. Garnish with some peach slices or a few leaves of mint, and you’ve got yourself a fancy drink perfect for sippin’ on a front porch.

Peachy tips:

  • Use ripe, seasonal peaches for the best flavor. Frozen peaches can be used in smoothies and mocktails, but fresh peaches are ideal for cocktails, as the juices will be more concentrated and less diluted. Ask your local farmers market vendor near our luxury Atlanta apartments for their best recommendations.
  • Homemade peach puree is easy to make. Simply blend fresh, peeled peaches until smooth, then store the puree as-is or strain to remove any fibers.
  • If you don't have peach schnapps, you can substitute with another fruit-flavored liqueur like apricot or orange — just expect the flavor to be less peachy!
  • When making a pitcher of fizzy mocktails, add the sparkling water or club soda just before serving to keep the drinks bubbly.
  • Don't be afraid to change it up! These recipes are just a starting point. Adjust the sweetness, spice level and ingredients to suit your taste — and experiment with different varieties of Georgia peaches to find your favorite.

So there you have it! With a little creativity and these delicious recipes, you can turn Georgia's favorite fruit into the star of your next gathering.

Cheers!
