Alpharetta Restaurants that Rival Atlanta's Finest Dining Experiences

by
Jun 5th, 2017

With more than 200 restaurants serving fare representing dozens of culinary traditions, the north Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta boasts an impressive dining scene. Several Alpharetta restaurants have even received acclaim throughout the Atlanta area. Below, we feature some of the most popularly and highly regarded places to grab a bite.

Altobeli’s Italian

For nearly two decades, this Alpharetta restaurant has been serving up authentic Italian soups, salads, and mains. Altobeli’s carefully curated wine list offers perfect pairings for every dish. This Italian mainstay is just three miles from AMLI North Point.

Colletta

Another popular Italian eatery, Colletta is known for its wood-fired pizza and pasta dishes. If you’re a dessert person, save room for something sweet at the end of your meal. Options include cinnamon broken cannoli, almond budino, house-made gelato and sorbet, and myriad dessert cocktails and wines. The standard cocktail and wine menus are both also expansive. Colletta is located in the retail park Avalon.

Made Kitchen & Cocktails

Chris Sedgwick’s relatively new Alpharetta venture brought a whole new meaning to Spanish tapas in the Atlanta suburb. Tapas bases include veggies, duck, pork, shrimp, and oysters. Also on the menu are a few mains, including a classic seafood paella. To quench your thirst, choose from sangria, wine, sparkling wine, and a number of sophisticated cocktails.

Mellow Mushroom

Yet another Alpharetta restaurant where you can enjoy excellent pizza, Mellow Mushroom is known as much for its environment as for its food. The events hosted here regularly are made more fun by the warm and welcoming ambiance and friendly staff. Alpharetta has two Mellow Mushrooms locations.

Ray’s at Killer Creek

For red meat and seafood, Ray’s at Killer Creek is a popular choice. This Ray’s location offers fine food and wine in a casual environment. Prices are on the higher end, but the food quality is high and the scenic creek setting is a major draw. Ray’s at Killer Creek is a mile’s drive from the Alpharetta apartments at AMLI North Point.

Sage Woodfire Tavern

Globally-inspired new American cuisine is Sage Woodfire’s trademark. Black Angus rib eye, lamb shank, and salmon fillet are some of the proteins you have warmed over a hickory-oak woodfire grill. Greek, Thai, southern, and Californian cooking practices all influence this restaurant’s menu.

Vinny’s on Windward

Rounding out our list is another Italian eatery, Vinny’s on Windward. Chef Louis Rameriz has mastered mains from the north and south of Italy, and caters to a range of food preferences by serving up numerous vegetarian and gluten-free options. Vinny’s wine and dessert menus also have a good rapport with guests.
