Luxury Apartment Dwellers! Cool Down with This Taste Bud Pleasing Ginger Mint Lemonade Recipe

Summer is in full swing.  For many luxury apartment dwellers, that means soaking up as much Vitamin C as possible.  Spending hours in the hot sun can cause the liquids you drink to perspire straight through your forehead, arms, and legs in humid climates.  In dry climates, you may not even notice that you are sweating because of how quickly perspiration evaporates.  Regardless of the climate in which you live and whether you plan to spend the day lounging around your luxury apartment pool or enjoying life in a park with friends, this lemonade-with-a-twist recipe is something you have got to try before summer’s end!



  • What You Need:

1 cup fresh mint

1/2 cup fresh ginger

1/2 cup honey (or sugar, if you must)

3 cups hot water

1 cup lemon juice

4 cups cold water



Chop mint leaves and ginger, and combine the two with honey.  Add boiling water, and allow the mint and ginger to steep in the water for 30 minutes before straining.  Add lemon juice and cold water to the ginger-mint-honey flavored water and refrigerate.


Serve lemonade with ice. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon or orange slices.  For a sweet touch, rim serving glasses with sugar, using lemon juice as an adhesive.
